Cantamus Girls Choir returning to Worksop to start The Crossing celebrations
The Crossing in Worksop celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and the celebrations get underway this weekend with a concert by the internationally renowned Cantamus Girls Choir.
Comprising around 40 girls aged 13-19 years, the Choir’s legendary status in world of choral music is amply demonstrated by significant awards which include gold medals twice in the World Choir Olympics, then in the European Choir Games and multiple awards in the UK.
The famous Cantamus Sound was first established by founder Pamela Cook MBE continues and has been further developed by musical director Ann Irons, Assistant director Elaine Guy and accompanist Stefan Reid.
