Raising funds for life-saving kit and responder groups
Until Saturday, March 6, Lincolnshire Co-op will be fundraising in branches to either purchase and maintain community defibrillators or to support a local responder group.
The activity is taking place as part of the retailer’s Community Champions scheme.

The retailer has identified areas in Lincolnshire and beyond that are lacking life-saving emergency equipment. About 20 new community defibrillators will be purchased and installed in largely rural locations using the money raised through the scheme.
Funds will also pay for the day-to-day maintenance of about 60 existing defibrillators at Lincolnshire Co-op branches and ensuring they are registered correctly, helping them to be found.
In areas that do not require a defibrillator, funds will be raised for local responder groups.
Among the areas set to benefit are Billinghay, Heckington, Metheringham, Ruskington, and Sleaford.
