Bassetlaw: Hospitals are detemined to give the winter flu vaccine to as many staff members as possible
The vaccinations, which are offered to NHS workers, enable staff to not only protect themselves from this year’s strain of the flu virus, but also their families, colleagues and the vulnerable patients they care for.
In 2014/15 the Trust had the second highest vaccination rate in England, for vaccinating 82 per cent of its 4,090 frontline healthcare workers. This year the Trust wants to vaccinate even more staff to reduce the impact of the flu virus both inside its hospitals and in the local communities.

To vaccinate as many staff as possible the flu fighter team will go out onto wards, clinical areas and departments at Bassetlaw Hospital and Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
