Beauty business is looking good - Sleaford Town Awards - Business Award nominee Perfectly Polished
Danielle Goodwin moved Perfectly Polished to a new unit in Millstream Square in town only last August having been operating from home.
Opting to go self employed a year earlier, she had previously worked for two-and-a-half years for a local hairdressing salon having undergone training before that.

“The hairdressing salon I used to work for just did hair and I wanted to do nails as well. I love to do nail art and so while I am still young I wanted to give it a go on my own.”
Danielle shares the building with an associate who does massage upstairs, while she works downstairs.
She said: “Things have been going amazingly well. I cannot thank people enough. I always seem to be fully booked, with very few gaps each day.

Appointments can range in length depending on what service she is providing, with nails the most popular.
She said: “I have had people ask for Minions on their nails and all sorts of tricky designs, but I am always willing to give anything a go.”
She will often open late on week nights, explaining: “People come and relax after work as a way to end the day nicely.”
