Inconsiderate parking in Theddlethorpe ‘held up the emergency services for 90 minutes’
On Sunday, a Coastguard spokesman said: “[We] were out today on patrol throughout our guard. Our first point of call was Crook Bank Theddlethorpe.
“As soon as we arrived on scene we were approached by a member of the public alerting us to a vehicle that was leaking fuel from the fuel cap.

“This information was relayed to Humber Coastguard and Mablethorpe Fire Station, and Alford & Mablethorpe Police were called to assist.
“The vehicle was made safe and after some time the owner was located.
“However, due to the number of vehicles parked inconsiderably it hindered the emergency vehicles arriving and departing from scene.
“We were all held up at scene for over 90 minutes.
“We are aware that we have a beautiful coastline and stunning beaches but we please ask that when parking your vehicle for the day please remember to leave room.
“It maybe you that needs assistance one day.”
