Motorist banned from road after two counts of drug driving in a month
Majkel Cieslak, 20, of Church Road, admitted the two offences, as well as possessing a knuckleduster and some cannabis, when he appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (November 25).
Prosecuting, Jim Clare said police stopped him when he was driving his Ford Ka in the early hours of December 7 last year after he drove through a red traffic light.

Hide AdAs he smelt of cannabis, they gave a drugs wipe, which was positive and gave a reading of 3.8 micrograms, the legal limit being two.
A search of the car revealed a knuckleduster and two plastic bags of cannabis.
Cieslak admitted to police that the knuckleduster was his and that he had been just showing off to his friends.
Mr Clare said that less than a month later, on January 4 this year, Cieslak was again stopped and found to have 6.1 micrograms of cannabis in his bloodstream.

Hide AdMitigating, Daniel Sabino said Cieslak was of previous good character and that the knuckleduster had been bought unintentionally as part of a lot at an auction.
He said Cieslak would lose his job as a result of his driving ban, as he would not be able to drive to work.
Cieslak was fined £120 for each of the drug driving offences and was banned from driving for a total of 18 months.
For possessing the knuckleduster, he was fined £200 and he was also ordered to pay £117 in court cost and charges.
