Donington's double delight for good causes
Flinders Founders in Donington raised £600 towards the village Teen Park and £100 for Macmillan Cancer Support when they held a charity bingo night at Thomas Cowley High School.
More than 100 people attended the event and a host of local businesses boosted the fundraising efforts by donating prizes for the bingo and raffle.
Amy Bristow, from Flinders Founders, said: “We got some fantastic donations from the shops and we had people of all ages come along to support us, ranging from two years to 60-plus.”
Money raised from the bingo goes to the Teen Park while the refreshment and cake sales cash goes to Macmillan. Our picture shows some of the supporters.
