Video: Bin crews receive messages of thanks and pictures from North Kesteven households

In this second nationwide show of thanks numbers possibly swelled into what is becoming a weekly act of celebration and thanks.
Not forgetting the bin collection crews, North Kesteven District Council posted on Facebook yesterday showing all the messages of thanks their teams have recieved.

Hide AdThey posted a video on social media showing all the pictures adorning their depot.
A spokesman said: “We’ve been overwhelmed with support from residents across the district.”
They said: “Our refuse team have received some great thanks from our residents over the past few weeks, which has really lifted their spirits during this difficult time.
“So, we’ve come up with an idea to get everyone’s creative hats on.
“Leave us a thank you by creating a picture.

Hide Ad“If a refuse truck could take you anywhere right now, whether it drives (or even flies) - where would you go?
“Leave it on your bin and our refuse team will collect them to share on our website and social media channels each week.
“P.S Pop your name, area and age on if you wish.”
They have received lots of pictures in response.
One resident commenting: “My daughter put one in our window this week and knocked in the window when they came round.”
Meanwhile James Waddingham of Sleaford fire crew posted a request for children to send in their pictures to post in the windows of their station.

Hide AdHe said: “We’d like to ask you, our community, to help brighten up our station.
“We would love to have some of your #rainbow #sunshine pictures. We want to display them in our station, to spread some cheer.
“Please send us a photo of your art so we can print them off.
“We are trying to fill all of the highlighted yellow windows with rainbows. So please keep sending them in.”
