Fulstow couple saves '˜the heart' of their village
When Emma and Steve Metcalf spotted that The Cross Keys pub in Main Street was up for sale earlier this year, they decided that they did not wish to lose one of the last few village amenities.
So, with that in mind, they snapped it up in February and have since transformed it in to a pleasant family-run pub and restaurant.

“The business went up for sale from the previous tenants and we felt that if we got it, we could secure it for a while and keep it alive.
“Too many pubs are being closed and we need to keep the good British pub alive!”
Emma continued: “We are a freehold pub and we source everything as locally as we can. It is a family affair as our daughter Jasmine works with us.

The pub sources its food and drink from local butchers, bakers, greengrocers and breweries, and they even sell ‘Pin Gin’ from the new Louth-based Bottomley Distillers.
