Mablethorpe's Coastal Free School in doubt?
The Coastal Free School project team say they had been in discussions with the Trust for over 12 months.
The aim is to progress an application to the Department for Education (DfE) to approve the establishment of the school that would have continued the provision of secondary education in the town.

It said: “Regrettably, due to concerns in relation to pupil number viability for the project, it is with great sadness that DRET are withdrawing their support.
“In light of this it is very unlikely that an application will be submitted, despite all avenues having been explored.”
The Coastal Free School members will now consider options at a forthcoming company general meeting.
The free school was due to open in September 2018 at the former Mablethorpe site of Monks’ Dyke Tennyson College, if their bid had become successful.
The Leader is contacting DRET for a comment.
