New economic plan for coastal areas is complete
The plan has a number of objectives which have different time frames, short-term, mid-term and long-term, totalling five years and beyond.
After five months of intensive research, consultation, and preparation, final touches were applied to the new plan by members of the Coastal Community Team, assembled and administrated by MAP CIC (Mablethorpe Area Partnership Board) prior to its submission to the department of communities and local government.

Hide AdOperations manager at MAP CIC Karen Froggatt commented: “It is a very comprehensive document.
“Everyone has been most supportive and we have tried to involve all sectors of the community.
“We believe we have identified the key issues that need to be addressed in order to halt and reverse the economic decline of the last 20 years.”
The plan is intended to be a ‘living document’ which can be updated, amended and added to as things evolve.
