Notts: Council calls for Government to reverse its cuts
The Fairer Deal for Notts will call on the Government to recognise the increase in demand for services and reverse some of its funding cuts.
The next three years will see Notts County Council losing £79 million in Government grants, which is a significant part of the £154 million savings the local authority has to make.

Hide AdCoun David Kirkham, chairman of the council’s finance and property committee, said: “We want to show the Government show how strongly the people of Notts feel about the cuts in our services.”
He added: “Some of the most vulnerable in our county are going to see some of their services be reduced.”
“The bigger the noise we can make, the more chance we have of shaming the Government into reversing these cuts.”
