Museum in Skegness nominated for national honour
Village Church Farm, in Church Road South, has been put forward for an award in the Camping and Caravanning Club’s Best Certified Site competition.
The annual award calls for club members to nominate their favourite certified sites – smaller member-only campsites that the club operates – for an accolade.

Site manager Sue Shelford said: “We set out to offer something totally different by way of caravan and camping experience, and not as on a competitive basis – we are a small site only available for up to five caravans.”
Mrs Shelford said the service brings in some funds for the charity, but also helps raise the profile of the attraction.
She said it is proving a hit among campers and caravanners.

“It’s so dark at night and it’s so peaceful and quiet and they really appreciate that.”
The charity has been presented with a rosette, marking their nomination in the competition.
Of being put forward for a plaudit, Mrs Shelford said: “We are over the moon to have been recommended for an award by visitors who stayed with us.

“It was a total surprise and we are very honoured.”
