Heritage Lincolnshire is transforming The Old King’s Head – a 16th century former inn, pub, hotel and family home – into a luxury B&B, café, deli and community space.

BOSTON
* Oddfellows
Anyone looking to give a new social group a try in 2020 is invited to join Boston & Lincoln Oddfellows at one of its forthcoming events.
On Wednesday, February 19, the friendship society is hosting a popular dine-around at the Burton Inn, starting at 12pm. The cost is as per the menu.
Then, on Wednesday, March 4, it is holding a beetle drive at Wings Meadow, in Freiston Road, from 2pm. The cost is £1.50, which includes light refreshments.

Chairman Arthur Gold, welcomed members to the fortnightly meeting of the Gosberton Good Companion’s Club in the Public Hall on Tuesday afternoon.
He and Les Stevenson called the bingo, Angie Brabyn and Edna Richardson ran the raffle, and members served refreshments.

Hide AdThere was a large attendance at the Gosberton Baptist Home Movie Ahow on Thursday afternoon.
Audience members saw films of Major Tim Peake’s space craft, Mablethorpe, Skegness Natureland, the Pinchbeck Engine, and more.
Some members kindly donated empty biscuit tins for a stall to be held at the Baptist Church’s flower festival over the August Bank Holiday Weekend and a couple of others brought little gifts to go inside the tins. These are to be handed in to Gill Adlard.
Food for the tea was supplied by Joyce Smith, Ann Gorbutt, Marlene Twelftree, Phyllis Baxter, and Steve Pulfer.

Gosberton Public Hall will hold a Valentine’s quiz night on Friday, February 14, at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Entry is priced at £5, which includes refreshments. Teams of up to six people are allowed.

The PTA of Gosberton Clough and Risegate Community Primary School is holding a Valentine’s disco tomorrow (Thursday, February 13).
Tickets are priced at £3 and will include refreshments.
The following day, pupils will have the opportunity to take part in a dance development session at the Boston High School.

Wyberton Church End Women’s Institute met for the first meeting of the year on Thursday.

Hide AdThe talk concerned the history of The Cottage Museum at Woodhall Spa.
The museum is housed in an 1884 bungalow purchased from a catalogue. Its galvanised corrugated iron residence came flat-packed and was originally on a different site.
It opened in 2013 following a £800,000 restoration project.
Tea and biscuits were enjoyed by all.
