Rase Park revamp ready to pull the punters in
This latest work has seen a fully-fitted commercial kitchen installed, along with the refurbishment and extension of the bar.
“The bar has more than doubled in size, which makes it a lot easier for people serving as we were really struggling before,” said Rase Park steward Kerry Paul.

“It makes Rase Park more user friendly - it’s the whole package.”
The work was made possible through fundraising, together with a £7,000 grant from a West Lindsey Large Community fund.
“We are very grateful for the grant, it would have taken a lot longer to get this far if we hadn’t got it,” said Kerry, who took over the role of steward last October..

“Kev Salmon and his team have done a great job and it all looks a lot fresher and more modern.”
The next major phase of work on the Rase Park ‘list’ is to renovate the changing rooms and also extend the main function area.
“It really is an ongoing thing,” added Kerry.
“Usage of Rase Park has increased and so that means we have more to plough back in to it and make it an even better facility for the local community.”

“More people are trying us out,” said Kerry.
“We have had a lot of people who have never been here and quite a few too who used to come down years ago and are now coming down again.
“We really want to make it somewhere every member of the family can come and enjoy themselves.
“There is no membership fee to use the club house.
“We are open from 6pm Wednesday to Friday and from 10am in the morning on Saturday and Sunday, so come down and see us.”

The fund got off to a good start with the recent Goldwing camp at the Rase Lane site, when a raffle winner handed back her £100 prize for the defibrillator fund.
The life-saving equipment will be placed on an outside wall of the club house for community use.
