Triple gun deaths are '˜a shame for family and Spalding'
Coun Peter Williams, South Holland District Council member for Spalding St Paul’s, described the deaths of Lance Hart, wife Claire Hart and daughter Charlotte Hart as “not good news for Spalding, nor for the nation”.
The three people who died, whose names have been made public by various news organisations, all suffered serious injuries believed to have been caused by a shotgun.

“It’s obviously a shame for the family, but it’s also a shame for Spalding.
“We don’t need this, after the other recent problems we’ve had, and it seems like a bizarre way to resolve a family problem.
“Maybe this is a reflection of the pressures on our society at the moment and I do think there is an unbelievable amount of pressure on people that is not seen.

At a news conference this afternoon (Tuesday), Superintendent Paul Timmins of Lincolnshire Police said: “We believe a shotgun was involved in the incident and we are working alongside colleagues from the East Midlands Major Crime Team in order to provide answers around what has happened today.
“Clearly, a situation such as this is hard to comprehend for a small community like Spalding.
“However, we believe all those involved were known to each other and we are not seeking anyone else in connection with this tragedy.”
