Worksop: Budding reporters at local school quiz Sun’s political correspondent Craig Woodhouse
Craig Woodhouse, who attended Worksop College as a teenager, spoke to around 40 students in the school theatre, followed by a grand dinner in the great hall for 12 selected pupils.
The students learned about Craig’s interesting and varied role at The Sun, along with his work for News Academy.

Hide AdThere was half an hour of questions on the topics of media ownership, the influence of papers in elections, what Craig’s biggest ever row with a politician was, and how to strip away political spin amongst other topics.
Said Craig: “They were a very spiky group asking lots of difficult questions. There are definitely some future journalists among them. It was great to be back at my old school and the session was very well received.”
News Academy is on a mission to invest in the future of journalism by providing 16-18 year olds with the opportunity to meet leading journalists.
There is currently the opportunity to apply for a place at the News Academy Summer School where the selected students will spend a week being mentored at News UK.
