Reaction to the latest group of contestants has been lukewarm however, with many branding the lineup as a poor imitation of last year's edition.

Here's what fans of the show said about the new lineup of contestants.

Laura Anderson, 23

Stirling-based air hostess Laura Anderson has already won a few fans ahead of her appearance on Love Island.

Dani Dyer, 21

This barmaid is already causing quite a stir due to her famous father Danny Dyer.

I reckon Dani dyer will be this years Marcel, it’s not going to be “I was in blazin squad”, all you are going to hear is “my dad is danny dyer” #LoveIsland

Alex George, 27

A&E doctor Alex George from West Wales has quickly been touted as an early favourite by some.

After watching the #LoveIsland VTs my early favourites are Alex and Kendall, although this will probably change after the first episode

Others were less impressed, however.
