FOOTBALL: Horncastle Town triumph in annual pre-season memorial fixture
The annual game is played in memory of the former Horncastle Town and Boston United player John Rawdon.
Overwhelmingly supported as ever by friends, family and supporters from both clubs, the good sized crowd were rewarded with an entertaining game.

Hide AdHorncastle’s new management team of Mickey Stones and Andrew Shinn were keen to get a good result against Boston’s talented, well-drilled and organised under-21s, and they were rewarded with a 3-1 victory.
Goals came from a Will Rawdon free kick, a second from a superb strike by Tommy Chalk, and Luke Blondel sealed the win with a tremendous chip.
The following day, Horncastle showed off their new sponsors for the coming season (see photo captions), including Shinn Developments who have sponsored first team match balls.
