Manager Lee Sinnott had called for his players to show more tempo and move the ball quicker after a 1-1 draw at Chasetown in the First Qualifying Round three days earlier.
And they responded in style, attacking NPL West Division Chasetown from the start and scoring twice in the first eight minutes of the replay.

Hide AdFive second-half goals made it 8-0 by the 78th minute before the visitors struck two late consolations in the 8-2 defeat.
The result overtook Trinity’s previous highest score, a 7-0 win.
Trinity, who will travel to Halesowen Town in the
next round, took the lead after just four minutes through Ross Hannah.
Ashley Worsfold made it 2-0 just four minutes later and Shane Clarke added a third before the half-hour.

The replay had been forced after Chasetown’s Levi Rowley cancelled out Byrne’s fine second-half finish.
On Saturday Trinity return to league action at mid-table Witton Albion.
