Jarvis beats experienced internationals
Skegness 16-year-old Jarvis, seeded third for the tournament, won four successive 3-0 victories to reach the last 16, where he found himself 2-0 down to Grantham College player Damiano Seretti.
But Jarvis found his rhythm and was able to stage a comeback and squeeze through 3-2 (8-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-9).

Welshman Jenkins – who has won more than 50 Grand Prix events during his career – awaited in the final, and Jarvis looked odds-on for a straight-games win when he served for the match at 2-0 and 10-8 up.
But Jenkins battled back to take that third game and then levelled to send the match into a decider.
In the event, it was something of an anti-climax as Jarvis blitzed it 11-1 to complete an 11-7, 11-8, 11-13, 9-11, 11-1 victory and clinch his second Grand Prix title of the season following success in Bristol in November.
