Personal best times for local runners in 10k
Robinson (43:54) knocked over 30 seconds from her previous PB and was delighted with the result.
“I’m really pleased with my race today at Barton, as I finally got the PB I’ve been looking for,” she said.

Hide AdAtkinson (44:53) was equally delighted: “)I’m) well chuffed at Deepdale today, I didn’t see my first sub 45 coming!”
“I nearly came unstuck towards the end as the finish was not where I expected and was about out of legs.”
Overson (45:05) took six seconds from her previous time on an undulating course and will surely be looking to go under 45 minutes at her next race.
Couch to 5k graduate Kirsty Pell made her debut run for Gainsborough and Morton Striders at this distance and recorded a fine time of 60:27.

Hide AdDan Edwards was the first Strider back in 36th position (41:16), with father Martin finishing soon afterwards in 52nd (42:32).
Chris Litherland also managed a finish in the top 100, coming home in 45:11.
Shaun Boyle and Glenn Peniston enjoyed the race, completing it together in 50:50.
Matt Lyner continued his training for April’s London Marathon with 52:51, recovering in time to cheer Wife Stacy over the line with 62:06.

Hide AdLottie Lindley (53:13) and Simon Smith (55:53) completed the group of Striders.
The Lincolnshire Cross Country league continued at Boston’s ‘Anton’s Gowt’ course, with the Striders sending a small squad of runners to compete on a very muddy course featuring a 20ft water-crossing.
Donna Cook relished the opportunity to get dirty, comparing the race to her favourite: “I really enjoyed it, it’s definitely the best course so far and even better than Rossington Gallop.”
The next event is due to take place in Scunthorpe.
It was a family affair at the weekly Scunthorpe ‘parkrun’, with four members of the Cutts family representing the club.

Hide AdJuniors Joshua (24:19), Thomas (25:15) and Morgan (29:14) all made their parkrun debuts accompanied by father Mark (25:16).
Jake Broomfield (28:37) also debuted, but performance of the day goes to Craig Ward for his parkrun PB of 20:50.
