TOWN'S Dan Starkey hit his sixth league goal of the season to give the seasiders a 15th minute lead, but this was cancelled out on the stroke of half time when Mark Fairburn capitalised on a defensive error and squared for Nick Manders to tap home the equaliser.
United, whose team included brothers and former Lilywhites Gary and Danny Pawson, sealed the three points when Fairburn glanced a long throw past keeper Martyn Bunce in the 64th minute.

Starkey completed a disappointing afternoon for the seasiders when two minutes from the end he was dismissed by referee Mark Thompson for something he said.

On Saturday unbeaten Hykeham Town travel to Louth United, who have yet to drop a Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League point.
